Time flies!!!

A few years have passed. A lot has happened since then. And then, of course, some of the same. I am now in San Jose and have had over the last couple of years, a couple of local exhibitions featuring my Salton Sea photographs from my book, 'Portraits and Voices of the Salton Sea'.

This past year, I have been a few times to the Owens Valley and Owens Lake, more specifically in Lone Pine. And it is eye-opening to see what the LADWP needs to do to keep the air quality in the valley from getting out of control. And it costs a lot a lot of money. It is devastating to see that the Salton Sea is not getting any better, nor enough attention, that the water levels are still falling. There have been a few positive notes, as in some air monitoring programs have received some money and are expanding, there have been a few articles recently on the Salton Sea in newspaper and online, allowing people to hear about it and there is now an artist community in Bombay Beach, which seems really interesting!

If you would like to know more about my book, it is available on the interwebs.
